i-nfer plan package

i-nfer plan is a comprehensive e-assessment package which consists of:

  • a series of on-screen 'challenges' designed to assess each child's understanding in depth
  • a range of reports for use by teachers based on tasks that they regularly are required to do.

There is a family of nine assessments, covering the three core subjects and the entire age range for Key Stages 1 and 2.

i-nfer plan e-assessments challenges

i-nfer plan is split into assessment packs made up of a series of challenges for pupils.

  • Each assessment pack covers units of the curriculum, with each unit consisting of a pair of e-assessments, or challenges
  • The twin tests are designed to be taken before and after teaching to enable identification of issues and measurement of progress
  • Each challenge is designed to be last around 30 minutes and to be easily integrated into teachers' existing teaching plans
  • Challenges for KS1 and some of KS2 are voiced for the pupil
  • A comprehensive user guide

The challenges are designed to be engaging, providing exciting tasks for the pupils. Careful use of technology can enable the interrogation of higher order thinking skills using e-assessment, rather than the lower order skills associated with multiple choice questions.

Access to 'My i-nfer plan Reports'

We have designed our reporting website to be as easy to use as possible, allowing teacher to take advantage of the rich data that e-assessment makes available. IN order to do this, i-nfer plan reports provide:

  • Reports based on real life tasks and activities that teachers are engaged in
  • Automatically marked challenges
  • Profiles for pupils identifying strengths and weaknesses, including suggested groups and next steps for teaching
  • National Curriculum sub levels and levels and age standardised scores
  • Formative and summative reporting by individual, class and school

i-nfer content bank

In order to ensure that i-nfer plan challenges are always available in the school, we have created robust delivery software, the i-nfer content bank:

  • Software through which challenges are assigned to children
  • The challenges are stored on the school computer, and synchronise with the i-nfer server when connected via the internet
  • Technical Guide and CDs for installation
  • Administrators Guide for downloading packs and setting up
