Geoff Gee, Head of EMIE at NFER 12.00 Session 3: Practical Assessment for Learning Wales is pursuing the Assessment for Learning agenda vigorously, and whilst many schools are enthusiastically embracing it, its implementation is not always straightforward. Dr Marian Sainsbury, deputy head of assessment for the NFER, will look at the rapidly developing Welsh assessment landscape. Jon Williamson, Managing Director of i-nfer assessment ltd will showcase i-nfer plan, a formative e-assessment package which is being used in several authorities in Wales to support Teacher Assessment and help embed Assessment for Learning. A school using the approach will discuss its experiences, and explain how i-nfer plan supports its assessment strategy.
