- The curriculum is split into units matched to NC objectives
- Each unit has a pair of Challenges
- Questions are voiced where appropriate
- Following the principles of Assessment for Learning, children are introduced to the reason why they are doing the challenge
- Attitudinal questions are asked which inform the analysis
- Closed questions vary from those which are multiple choice to those assessing higher order thinking skills
- Help is provided where appropriate
